If you are introducing English as a second language to kids, you might want to teach them opposites or body parts. Such as:
- OPEN – SHUT
- BIG – SMALL
- MOUTH, TEETH
And notice colors:
“Your fish is pink? Oh, and now it is a BIG shark! HELP! HELP!”
This fishy fish or lion activity is fun to play with AND full of easy opposites! Just fold it in the right places. Was it a success? Let me know on facebook.
If you like more action you might also want to try this: The song Five Little Monkeys and a trampoline (no matter how big) go together so well! Looking for colorful stones in the beans (inspired by M. Montessori) is such a delight to the senses for both children and parents.
